Snorkeling in Bahia Drake - Isla del Caño

On our second full day in Bahia Drake we booked ourselves on a boat tour to Isla del Caño Biological Reserve, and did some snorkeling.

It was pouring rain when we woke up that morning, and were worried that the trip would be cancelled. Our guide, Roy, told us not to worry, and only delayed the trip by an hour. A wise decision, as it was sunny and bright out after the hour boat ride to the island.

It is a very popular destination for snorkeling and scuba divers - There were tons of tour boats there.

Kyle snoozing on the beach after a morning of snorkeling and a yummy picnic lunch sent by our lodge.

One of the only sea stars we saw on the whole trip. We were surprised to see so few!

There was a huge school of these fish while we were out in the afternoon - We swam with them for ages, and they weren't bothered by us at all.

As you can guess, I was terribly sunburned by the time we got back, but it was entirely worth it.
