Rafting on the River Pacuare

At the hostel, we signed up for a day of rafting on the River Pacuare! Kyle had rafted in Ontario before, but this was my first time so I was a little nervous! There were five people in our group: Kyle and I, two German fellas (whose names I never did catch) and Dave from Michigan.
Our raft captain, Santiago, had been guiding groups down the river for 8 years, doing between 5 and 7 days a week in the high season.

Once we got in the boat, my nerves had given way to excitement - It was so much fun!

Navigating our way down a class 4 rapid, which is the highest class we got to on our trip. Santiago said that during the rainy season the river gets up to 15 feet higher than it was when we there, and much faster. He said we were rafting it at its slowest, and the lowest water level he takes tours on. I was ok with that.
