Sasquatch Music Festival

Kyle and Jordan drove down to Washington for the 4-day Sasquatch music festival.  

There are many, many photos but this panoramic one is by far the best.  

The  main stage was in front of  the gorge, making for an amazing view.  The boys camped for three nights with thousands of other fans who came out to enjoy the music! They came home exhausted, but so happy!

Island View Beach Regional Park

We decided to use our rainy holiday Monday to explore Island View Beach Regional Park. It's only about a ten minute drive from our house and we'd never been there before.

 

 

Kyle and Keora enjoy their usual game of fetch.

We got there around low tide, which was perfect - There was so much space to walk and explore, and tons of room for Keora to run around.

We looked around for little critters in the tide pools, but only saw a couple crabs and snails.

 

We moved the rock this guy was under and he took refuge under Kyle's shoe.

 

My new wellies are holding up rather well!

Beach Bonfire

Sarah, Greg, Jen and Chad came by in the evening for a beach bonfire.

It was overcast for us, but sunny over Washington. It made for an amazing view of Mt. Baker! 

Long Weekend Relaxation

Kyle and I are house/dog sitting for the Dunlops while they enjoy a family camping trip over the long weekend. Saturday was sunny and warm, so Kyle and Keora spent a good while playing on the beach.

This is the view from the water line at low tide. If you look closely between the trees you can see the roof of the house.

Kyle was dying to lie in the hammock, but had a little trouble finding a place to put it. Finally he decided to give the playhouse a try!

"How is it?" I ask him.  "Um... not as comfortable as I hoped it would be."

  I think I threw this ball for her fifty times. Fetch is her most favourite game.
 

And of course we just had to try out the trampoline!

 

 

I spent the rest of the afternoon lying out in the sun (and didn't get a burn - score!) drinking wine and enjoying Tina Fey's hilarious autobiography.

Mojitos

Kyle surprised me after work today with all the fixens for mojitos! What a guy!

Long Walks on the Beach...

We took advantage of the sunny weather to go for a stroll on the beach in our neighbourhood.

 

It was a perfect afternoon to check out the beach!

I even got to test out my awesome new wellies!
