2012 TC 10k

Today was the 23rd annual Times Colonist 10krun!
This picture was taken around the 6k point.

Several of the local firefighters were walking in the race too - Wearing their full gear!

.
Kim and I walked the 10k.  Tria came along for the ride and was happy as a clam throughout!

There is always a 1.5k family run following the 10k race so kids can participate as well. Ty and Todd ran it together - Ty needed a little encouragement at the end as Todd carried him across the finish line.

Parker, on the other hand, was a little upset after he and Jordan raced across the finish line. He enjoyed it so much he wanted to go back and run it again!

I am so proud of Kyle!  He finished the race with an official time of 59 minutes and 6 seconds!  Congratulations!!

50's Birthday Party

For Shelley's 32nd birthday we donned our best 50's outfits and gathered at the Visco farm for a party!

As soon as we arrived Hayden headed right to Kyle for a snuggle!
(Notice her sweater says "Little Pink Lady" on the back.)

Parker helps Alisa put out the cupcakes.

The birthday girl blowing out her candles!

Parker was more excited about the cupcakes - I think he ate three of them.

Cupcakes!

A double batch of vegan chocolate cupcakes for our friend Shelley's birthday!

Easter Weekend in Calgary

Kyle and I spent Easter weekend in Calgary visiting the Washbrooks. We got to spend so much time hanging out with the kids - It was great!

Kyle and Kaeli were best buddies all weekend!

Anna's imagination is amazing - Here she is building "the biggest tower that goes up to the sky."

The girls make Evelyn laugh so much, it's adorable to watch them together.

Kaeli and Anna spent tons of time riding their bikes in the backyard.

And they had a great time playing at the park across the road from their house.

Evelyn is growing up and learning so much - She played with stacking toys for ages and is getting really good at them.

She's also crawling up a storm and becoming a pro at climbing up the stairs.

Kaeli impressed us with her printing - She can spell her name and is sounding out loads of words. She'll be reading on her own in no time.

Evelyn is such a little snuggle bug!

On Saturday we watched the girls dye eggs for Easter.

They did over a dozen eggs and were so excited to see the end result.

On Easter morning the girls got dressed up in their fancy new dresses, opened presents and hunted for eggs.

Evelyn did so well opening her gift.

Anna was very excited about her new Duplo set!

After an absolutely delicious lunch of turkey, roast veggies and yorkshire pudding (YUM!) and a nap we all set out for a walk.

As we walked Anna pointed out every squirrel to me.

On our last day Kyle spent some time hanging out with Evelyn.

(And he managed to get a little work done surrounded by Barbies and fairies.)

Kyle and I took Kaeli and Anna to Helicopter Park in the afternoon to take advantage of the beautiful weather.

Anna was the driver of the dinosaur bus and drove her passengers anywhere they wanted to go.

She dropped pilot Kaeli off at her helicopter so she could fly it to Hawaii!

Uncle Kyle did a little climbing too!

We blew bubbles before dinner

And the girls ran around chasing them for ages!

Before finally stretching out to relax with a good book.

Thank you for a great visit, Washbrook family!
Happy Easter!
